What's in a Name?

I know I say this almost every time I post these days, but my profuse apologies for the lack of posts in recent weeks. I've been very busy in my non-Co-op life, including getting engaged and trying to organise our wedding!

Anyway, I thought that I had better put fingers to keyboard to publicise the "What's in a Name?" event that the Co-operative Group are organising in Cambridge. This is taking place from 9.30am to 3pm on Saturday 12th April in Cambridge Science Park (up near the A14, so easily reached from outside Cambridge, and near the C4 bus route for locals). What's in a Name is part of the Co-op's commitment to member education, enabling members to find out more about their own Society, and particularly about the wider Co-operative Movement both in the UK and abroad. Attendees at this event will get to go on a tour around the famous Daily Bread worker co-operative in North Cambridge, which should be very interesting. I am, in fact, gutted that I am unable to attend; I will instead be nearing the end of my walk along Hadrian's Wall next week.

It all sounds rather good, and if you wish to go, you need only email Ranjit from regional office on membership.central&eastern@co-operative.coop.
